8. Inspect ball bearings and needle bearing for
smooth rotation.
NOTE: Idler gear (N) and shaft (O) must be replaced
as a set. (Fig. 19)
9. Inspect gears and splines for missing or chipped teeth,
wear or damage. Replace parts if necessary.
