UVD Robot Model B - User manual v2.1
7.6. Emergency stop (E-stop)
The Emergency stop function is designed for immediate shutdown of the robot in case of an
emergency situation and to prevent an immediate hazard.
Pressing the Emergency stop (red button on the front of the robot) will stop the robot. To reset
the robot after an emergency stop you need to release the E-stop first twist the button to the
right and then press the start robot button (figure 12, number 3) next to the emergency stop.
7.7. Risk of collision / Objects of attention
It is the operator's responsibility to drive carefully and avoid contact with obstacles and
individuals as the robot is not designed to avoid them in manual mode.
Collisions warning!
- Remove hazardous objects from the robot's path.
- The robot's sensors can not detect objects lower than 5 cm of height and may run over
them. Ensure that the robot’s path is clear. Remove any wires on the floor to prevent
the robot from tangling with the wires and fall down.
- Ensure that the maps in the app are up to date to avoid collisions when running in
autonomous mode. If new maps are required, please contact technical service.
Pay special attention to objects similar to the ones shown below as in certain situations the
robot can have difficulties to detect them. Make sure those types of objects are kept away
from the robot operating areas or kept at specified places. If new beds, shelves or sinks are
installed within disinfection areas, please contact your local UVD technician to get updated
maps.
