6 Installation
6.1 Carrying out the hydraulics installation
Caution.
Risk of damage caused by contaminated
lines.
Foreign bodies such as welding/soldering
remnants, sealing residue or dirt in the
pipelines may cause damage to the product.
Rinse out the pipelines of the solar cir-
cuit and the cylinder charging circuit thor-
oughly before installation.
If the installation/start-up are not com-
pleted immediately, make sure that there
is no water remaining in the solar circuit
after it has been rinsed out.
Caution.
Risk of damage caused by leaks.
Mechanical tension on supply lines may
cause leaks and damage to the product.
Avoid mechanical tension on supply lines.
Caution.
Risk of material damage due to heat trans-
fer during soldering.
Only solder connection pieces if the con-
nection pieces are not yet screwed to the
service valves.
The work described in this section must only be carried
out by a competent person.
Note
Seals made of rubber-like materials may be
subject to plastic deformation, which can lead
to pressure losses. We recommend using
seals made of a paste-like fibre material.
6.1.1 Connecting the cylinder charging circuit
Note
We recommend that the solar charging system
be connected to the cylinder charging circuit us-
ing service valves. The service valves are not in-
cluded in the scope of delivery.

1. Install service valves (1) and (2) (not included in the
scope of delivery) as shown, as required.
2. Install the flow and return.
6.1.2 Connecting the discharge line to the safety
group
Note
An empty Vaillant solar fluid container can be
used as a collecting container.

Warning.
Risk of personal injury and material dam-
age caused by incorrect installation!
Solar fluid emitted from the discharge line on
the safety group may cause serious scalding.
Install the discharge line on the safety
group in such a way that no-one is at risk.
Route a temperature-resistant discharge
line with a downward gradient to a collect-
ing container suitable for solar fluid.
Set up the collecting container in such a
way that it cannot tip over.
