the pressure in the cylinder charging cir-
cuit, add water if necessary, and flush the
cylinder charging circuit
Displayed temperature is incorrect Poor connection of the temperature sensor Check the seating and position of the tem-
perature sensor
Discolouration of storage tank Yellowing of the storage tank is normal,
very strong/rapid discolouration is an in-
dication of high temperatures in the solar
circuit
Check the solar circuit function
Check the cylinder charging circuit function
The solar fluid level falls over time Solar circuit leaking Find and seal any leaks
Pressure too high and expansion relief
valve discharges
Check the expansion relief valve function
Check that the solar collectors are able to
drain
Solar fluid remains in the collector field or
in the pipeline, and does not all flow back
to the storage tank
This is not a problem provided that the
system is returning a solar yield
