Resetting the Module
In the event of a nonrecoverable failure, or if the
homeowner needs to set up a new home network, the
WiFi module can be easily reset to factory default to
allow all the setup steps to be done again.
To reset the module:
1. Ensure it is receiving power from the fi replace.
2. Insert a thin object (eg. paper clip) in the small
opening below the WLAN LED on the unit and press
until you feel the reset button click.
3. Hold the reset button for 30 seconds.
During the reset, the Receiver LED will blink blue slowly,
then quickly. After the full 30 seconds, it will blink blue
slowly again, and you can release the button. The
Receiver LED will turn solid green.
Upon reset, the WLAN will briefl y blink red (to indicate
network loss) and then blink blue (to indicate seeking a
connection).
The module is now at factory default and you are ready
to confi gure.
Caution
Performing this action removes all existing network
data from your WiFi module!

3. You must register with Valor
to use the app (one time only).
Tap the Register button.
4. Fill in the Registration screen
with the homeowner details.
This will include setting a
new password for a Valor 10
account.
5. Tap Register when all details
are completed.
6. Once your email has been
registered, you will have
ten minutes to visit your
email account and open the
registration confi rmation
message there.
7. Click the "Verify your email" link
in the email to confi rm your
use of the software.
Note to the Installer: Completing installation
of this software requires the Homeowner to
provide a smart device and personal details. It is
recommended you complete this installation with
the homeowner present.
Software Installation
1. Visit either the Apple Store or the Google Play Store,
depending on the destination smart device.
2. Search for “Valor 10”. You will see an app called
“Valor 10 Remote”.
3. Download the Valor 10 app (free) to the smart
device and allow it to complete its installation.
4. When installation is complete, launch the Valor 10
app.
Software Setup and Connect
1. After launch, set your desired
language, temperature units, and
time display (12 or 24 hour).
2. Tap Next.
