Hydraulic
For tractors fitted with a front lift device and which have a hydraulic
outlet at the front of the tractor, the machine can be connected to the
hydraulic system in the following way:
> Connect the tractor hydraulic system as shown.
Use a single-acting hydraulic outlet on the tractor's front lift device
for the machine's hydraulic operation.
NB
The hydraulic outlet at the front of the tractor should be able to be set
in the floating position. If this cannot be done, carry out the following:
> Lower the machine to the ground using the tractor's hydraulics.
> Keep the tractor's hydraulic valve open for a few seconds.
This ensures that the machine's ability to follow the ground's contours
is not limited by a locked hydraulic cylinder.
NB
If the tractor's front lift device is fitted with double-acting hydraulics*,
the hydraulics must be immobilised, so that the tractor's front lift
devices can lower implements to the ground aided solely by the
implement's own weight, as there is a high risk of damage to the
machine.
NB
Downward pressure must not be applied to the machine under any
circumstances.
* Front lift device which can both raise the implements up and press
them toward the ground.
For tractors fitted with a front lift device and which do not have a
hydraulic outlet at the front of the tractor, the machine can be
connected to the hydraulic system in the following way:
> Connect the tractor hydraulic system as shown.
The illustration shows an extra hydraulic hose which leads to a
single-acting hydraulic outlet at the rear of the tractor.
NB
The hydraulic outlet should be able to be set in the floating position. If
this cannot be done, carry out the following:
