5.3 Operating the Backhoe
◼ Start the tractor at idle speed and engage the PTO. Gradually increase engine rpm until the PTO
shaft speed is 540 rpm.
◼ Block the tractor wheels and set the parking brake.
◼ Sit on the operating seat and study the operating decal.
◼ Start operation.

Studying the instruction decal will assist you in becoming familiar with the Backhoe controls.
