Drive belt, water pump, replacement
1 Switch off the manin switch(es) and check that the
engine is not connected to system power.
2 Remove the belt cover.
3 Use a 1/2 inch socket to lower the belt tensioner (1)
and release the belt.
4 Remove the drive belt.
5 Check that the pulleys are clean and undamaged.
6 Lower the belt tensioner (1) and install the new
drive belts.
7 Install the belt guards.
8 Start the engine and do a function check.
Drive belt, extra generator, replacement
1 Switch off the manin switch(es) and check that the
engine is not connected to system power.
2 Remove the belt cover.
3 Use a 1/2 inch socket to lower the belt tensioner (1)
and release the belt.
4 Remove the drive belt.
5 Check that the pulleys are clean and undamaged.
6 Lower the belt tensioner (1) and install the new
drive belts.
7 Install the belt guards.
8 Start the engine and do a function check.
Alternator belt, replacement
1 Switch off the manin switch(es) and check that the
engine is not connected to system power.
2 Remove the belt cover.
3 Remove the water pump drive belt (refer to the
Water pump drive belt, replacement section).
4 Use a 1/2 inch socket to raise the belt tensioner (2)
and release the alternator belt.
5 Remove the alternator belt.
6 Check that the pulleys are clean and undamaged.
7 Raise the belt tensioner (2) and install the new
alternator belt.
8 Re-install the water pump drive belt.
9 Install the belt guards.
10 Start the engine and do a function check.
