Switch IMO Tier II/III
It is the responsibility of the vessel operator to always
ensure that the vessel is compliant with the applicable
emission standard.
The operator can manually switch from IMO NOx Tier
III emission standard to other emission standards, for
exemple IMO NOx Tier II or EPA Marine Tier 3.
When switching to or from IMO NOx Tier III standard,
i.e. enabling/disabling IMO NOx Tier III, at entry into
and exit from a NOx Tier III emission control area, or
when the on/off status changes within such an area,
this must be recorded in the vessel logbook with date,
time and position of the ship.
By default each engine is started up in IMOIII mode.
Mode switch will only affect engines with ignition ON or
running. Make sure all engines are in ignition ON or
running when switching mode to avoid different
emission modes between engines.
To switch emission standards in Glass Cockpit (A)
select Options > Settings > My Vessel > EATS.
To switch between emission standards on the IMO
Panel press B or C.
