7.3.3 PRESSURE RELIEF/WORK INTERRUPTION
Process for relieving pressure
1. Switch o high voltage at the control unit.
2. Turn compressed air supply for shaping and atomizing air on the EPG 5000 to "0".
3. Close the compressed air supply on the material side upon the product pressure
generator.
4. Relieve the pressure of gun and system, e.g., by switching on gun without high voltage.
5. Filling ushing agent.
6. Thoroughly ush out the spray gun.
7. Relieve the pressure on the gun and the system.
8. Clean gun and dry it with a cloth or a blow gun.
The pressure must always be relieved when:
- The spraying tasks are nished.
- The spraying system is maintained.
- Cleaning tasks are carried out on the spraying system.
- The spraying system is moved to another location.
- Something must be checked on the spraying system.
- The valve seat is replaced on the gun.
Observe general safety instructions in Chapter 4.
High-pressure spray jet!
Danger to life from injecting paint or solvent.
Never reach into the spray jet.
Never point the spray gun at people.
Consult a doctor immediately in the event of skin injuries caused
by paint or solvent. Inform the doctor about the paint or solvent
used.
Never seal defective high-pressure parts; instead relieve the pressure
from them and replace them.
Wear the appropriate protective clothing, gloves, eyewear and
respiratory protection.
