8 ANALYZER SHUT-DOWN
It is important to know that the analyzer should run continuously, if possible. For a short
downtime of the 3041 analyzer (from 1 to 3 days), it is recommended to put all the inlet tubing
(reagents and sample source) in a DI water source and leave the unit running in these conditions.
For long shut down period, please proceed as follows:
1. Replace the reagents in the container with distilled water and perform a priming of all the
pumps with DI water.
a. Login with the 1st level service password (1111).
b. Press DISPLAY > MANUAL > STEP > ADD REAG 1,2,3 for 60 seconds.
2. Disconnect the sample line and fill the fast-loop reservoir (if present) with DI water.
3. Run the analyzer for at least 2 cycles with all of the reagent tubes placed in a DI water
container.
4. Empty the hydraulic line of water.
5. Put the analyzer in stand-by mode.
6. Turn off the analyzer main power by disconnecting the plug from the power line.
