4.5.3.1 Cables
Modern Cable: A 25-conductor cable with 25-pin (RS-232-C) male connectors
on each end for connection of the workstation to a modern •
Direct Connection Jumper (Nul 1 Modern): To connect the workstation with
another cornpu ter or terminal device in physical proximity to the work-
s ta ti on, this jumper renders the use of modems unnecessary. A normal
modem cable may be used between the w0rkstation and the computer/terminal/
word processor.
