If the PC board has a battery backup, it may be depleted. A damaged seal/stack assembly or a piston assembly failure could also be the cause, requiring replacement. Lastly, ensure the drive cap assembly is properly tightened.

If these steps don't resolve the issue, the meter or the PC board might be defective and need replacement.
