INSTRUCTION MANUAL
On this illustration a red bar can be seen on one channel. This is
because the Weatronic Adaptive Frequency Hopping System has
detected that another system is using this channel and therefore it
has temporarily blocked the channel. The dark green bars indicate
channels with a poor signal strength.
In this illustration the France has been selected in the ‘Country
setting’ and as such only a part of the band is utilised.
If the ‘Activate scanmode’ button is clicked (located in the bottom
left hand corner) the Spectrum Analyser will scan the whole 2.4
GHz band, and will show any other devises currently operating on
sections of the band.
Scanmode detecting 3 active WLAN systems.
Channel/servo positions.
The horizontal bar (default colour, green) shows the channel po-
sition and the vertical bar (green) the servo position. If the back-
ground colour has been changed to ease in identifying the chan-
nels/servos in the ‘Servo mapping’ window, these (green) bars will
assume that colour.
11.5 Spectrum analyser
By opening the window labelled spectrum you will have access
to another useful tool which we have incorporated into the Giga-
Control software, a spectrum analyser. The analyser shows hat is
currently being received by both of the transmitters patch anten-
nas. If a weatronic receiver is connected and switched on the soft-
ware will show which channels within the band are being utilised
by the Frequency Hopping System. The signal strength (RSSI) will
be shown in dBm (Decibel Milliwatts).
This is example of how the Spectrum analyser will appear if a weat-
ronic R/C system is active using all 81 channels of the 2.4 GHz
band.
