4.8 Responsibility of the operator
If the machine is used commercially, the operator is subject to the
statutory provisions on occupational safety.
4.8.1 Obligations of the operator
The operator is responsible for the machine’s condition.
P P The operator must regularly check all safety devices for functionality
and completeness.
P P The operator must ensure that the scheduled maintenance is carried
out as planned.
P P The operator must inform the manufacturer immediately of any
damage found.
P P The operator must provide the personnel with the required protec-
tive equipment and inspect, maintain and replace defective parts in
accordance with the regulations.
P P The operator must request a new copy of the operating instructions if
they are in poor condition or parts are missing.
P P The operator must immediately replace any lettering, signs or stick-
ers that are in poorly legible condition or have been lost.
P P The operator must keep the work areas and escape routes obstruc-
tion-free and in good condition.
