2.2 Personnel qualifications
The personnel must:
▪Be informed of the locally applicable accident preven-
tion regulations.
▪Have read and understood the 'Installation and operat-
ing instructions'.
The personnel must have the following qualifications:
▪Electrical work: A qualified electrician (in accordance
with EN50110-1) must carry out the electrical work.
▪Installation-/dismantling work: The technician must be
trained to handle the necessary tools and required fas-
tening materials for the present building site.
▪Maintenance work: The technician must be familiar
with the use of operating fluids and their disposal. Fur-
thermore, the technician must have basic knowledge of
engineering.
Definition “Qualified Electrician”
A qualified electrician is someone with suitable techni-
cal training, knowledge and experience, who can rec-
ognize and avoid the dangers of electricity.
2.3 Electrical work
▪A qualified electrician must carry out the electrical
work.
▪When connecting to the power supply, adhere to the
local regulations as well as the provisions of the local
energy supply company.
▪Before all work, disconnect the product from the power
supply and secure against unauthorized switch-on.
▪The personnel are instructed in how to implement the
electrical connection as well as the shutdown methods
of the product.
▪Adhere to the technical information in these 'Installa-
tion and operating instructions' as well as on the rating
plate.
▪Earth product.
▪Observe the manufacturer’s regulations when connect-
ing to electrical switchgears.
▪Adhere to the regulations for electromagnetic compat-
ibility when connecting to electronic start controls (e.g.
soft start or frequency converter). If required, consider
special measures (e.g. shielded cables, filters etc.).
▪Immediately replace defective power supply cables.
