limbs! Wear protective gloves against cutting in-
juries!
5. Check for correct fit of the O-ring on the baseplate.
6. Lubricate the O-ring with O-ring grease and set the
baseplate on the hydraulic part.
7. Rotate the baseplate counterclockwise (left). The
baseplate is attached via the bayonet coupling.
8. Screw in the safety screw of the baseplate. Max. tight-
ening torque: 1.5Nm!
Hydraulics cleaned and sealed, complete cleaning.
9 Maintenance and repair
DANGER
Danger due to fluids which are dangerous to
health!
When the pump is used in fluids which are danger-
ous to health, decontaminate the pump after re-
moval and before all work! There is a risk of fatal in-
jury! Observe information from the work regula-
tions! The operator must ensure that the personnel
have received and read the work regulations!
NOTICE
Use only technically flawless lifting equip-
ment!
For lifting, lowering and transporting the pump, use
only technically flawless lifting equipment. Make
sure that the pump does not jam during lifting and
lowering. Do not exceed the maximum permissible
bearing capacity of the lifting equipment!
Always carry out maintenance work in a clean place
with good lighting. The pump must be safely set down
and secured.
Only perform maintenance work which is described in
these 'Installation and operating instructions'.
During maintenance work wear the following protec-
tive equipment:
Safety goggles
Safety shoes
Safety gloves
9.1 Personnel qualifications
Electrical work: A qualified electrician (in accordance
with EN50110-1) must carry out the electrical work.
Maintenance work: The technician must be familiar
with the use of operating fluids and their disposal. Fur-
thermore, the technician must have basic knowledge of
engineering.
9.2 Operator’s obligations
Make available the required protective equipment and
ensure that the personnel wear the protective equip-
ment.
Collect operating fluid in suitable tanks and dispose of
properly.
Properly dispose of used protective clothing.
Use only genuine parts from the manufacturer. The use
of parts other than original parts absolves the manu-
facturer of any liability.
Immediately clean up leakage from the fluid and oper-
ating fluid and dispose of according to the locally appli-
cable guidelines.
Make available required tools.
If flammable solvents and cleaning agents are used,
naked flames and smoking are prohibited.
9.3 Operating fluids
9.3.1 Oil types
A biological white oil is poured in the sealing chamber.
When changing the oil, the following oil types are rec-
ommended:
Aral Autin PL*
Shell ONDINA 919
Esso MARCOL 52* or 82*
BP WHITEMORE WOM 14*
Texaco Pharmaceutical 30* or 40*
All oil types marked with “*” are approved for use with
foods in accordance with USDA-H1.
9.3.2 Filling quantities
The filling quantities are pump-dependent:
Rexa UNI V05...: 600ml
Rexa UNI V06...: 1000ml
9.4 Maintenance intervals
To ensure reliable operation, maintenance work must
be carried out regularly. Depending on the real environ-
mental conditions, contractually differing maintenance
intervals can be specified! If strong vibrations occur
during operation, the pump or installation must be
checked regardless of the specified maintenance inter-
vals.
9.4.1 Maintenance intervals for normal conditions
5 years or 1500 operating hours
Visual inspection of the power supply cable
Visual inspection of accessories
