1. General
With the introduction of the Mark III Injection Control Unit it is possible to do the
maintenance on board. On request at Wärtsilä Switzerland you can get several
ouverhaul kits for the ICU including the work instruction:
− Repair kit for fuel valve assembly
− repair kit for pre−control device
− Repair kit for measuring device
Maintenance works on the injection control unit must be done only by qualified per-
sonel having the special knowledge of the Mark III ICU. Otherwise send the unit to
a Wärtsilä service station and have it ouverhauled there.
Remark: No maintenance work is provided for pre-control valve (rail valves). If
necessary it must be replaced.
