3. Fitting
⇒ Make sure the working area is clean.
⇒ Remove transport plate 94585A (see Fig. D)
⇒ Carefully insert the lip seal 11 on the under-
side of the injection control unit 1.
⇒ Place the injection control unit according to
the dowel pins in the fuel rail 1.
⇒ Insert four bolts 6 and four bolts 7.
⇒ Apply Never Seez NSBT8 to the threads and
contact surfaces of the four bolts 6 and tighten
them with 60 Nm.
⇒ Apply Never Seez NSBT8 to the threads and
contact surfaces of the four bolts 7 and tighten
them with 35 Nm.
⇒ Remove all plugs from unions and from injec-
tion control unit (see also Fig. C).
⇒ Connect pipes 3, 4 and 5 to Injection control
unit 1 and fuel rail 10.
⇒ Install the hoses 2 to return pipe and 8 to ex-
haust control unit 12.
⇒ Install HP fuel pipe, refer to 8733−1.
⇒ Connect cable plugs 13 to pre-control valves.
⇒ For restarting the injection see instructions
0510−1 in the Operating Manual.
D After replacing the injection control unit, operate the engine for a minimum of
1.5 hours with marine diesel oil (MDO). For more data see Operation Manual
0270−1.
