⇒ Close the unions with screw plugs 94585C/D.
⇒ Close the opening on the exhaust valve con-
trol unit 12 with capping end 94585E.
⇒ Remove the lip seal 11 on the underside of the
ICU with one of the withdrawing tools 94589.
⇒ Install two eye-bolts 94045-M8 as shown in
Fig. D.
⇒ Lift the injection control unit 1 and mount it on
the transport plate 94585A with two hex head
screws 9. Make sure the dowel pins fit cor-
rectly.
⇒ Clean the area on the fuel rail 10 around the
injection port (Fig. E).
⇒ Install the blind flange 94585B over the injec-
tion port and tighten the four oiled bolts 15
equally with 70 Nm.
⇒ Make sure the dowel pins 14 stay in the fuel
rail.
