2. Removal
⇒ Before you remove the injection control unit (ICU) follow the instructions
0510−1 in the Operating Manual.
Attention! Injury hazard. Use gloves and eye protection. Hot fuel can come out as
a spray and cause injury.
Attention! Fire hazard. Do not weld or grind materials in the area.
⇒ Clean the work area you see in Fig. B.
⇒ Remove HP fuel pipe, refer to 8733−1.
⇒ Remove the hoses 2 and 8 (Fig. B).
⇒ Disconnect pipes 3, 4 and 5 from Injection
control unit 1.
⇒ Remove four bolts 7 and four bolts 6.
⇒ Remove cable plugs 13 from pre-control
valves.
