Programming Ring Time
Ring Time allows you to program how long the rst emergency number is dialed. By default,
the rst emergency number will dial for 45 seconds. This can be programmed from 30 to 99
seconds depending on elevator code and or preference. Note: 2009 elevator code states a
45 second default ring time. Pre-2009 code states a 30 second default ring time. Please
be sure to program accordingly.

Programming Messages (Site ID)
Follow the steps below to program the Site ID message and local announcements. The Site
ID must identify where the emergency call is coming from. It’s played every time a call is
placed to or from the S3C, if not in immediate two-way. It is very important that this message
be recorded, as this is normally the way the call can be traced without verbal communication
from the passenger.
DEFAULT SETTING: The Site ID message will play inside the elevator cab. This can be
turned o in the Announcements Menu. (see page 12)

Programming Messages (Announcements)
There are three in car local announcements that notify the trapped person which of the 3
possible emergency numbers are being dialed. Each message can be up to 6 seconds long
and can typically contain the number that is being dialed or the name of the location the
number is dialing. For example, if the rst number was programmed to dial 911, you may
record ‘Calling 911’ or ‘Calling Police’.
