The Wurtec S3 Communicator Master Station is a versatile and multi-functional device designed to facilitate communication within an elevator system and with outside lines. It serves as a central hub for up to eight S3C phones, allowing them to share a single telephone line. The Master Station is capable of both local and remote programming of connected S3C phones, making installation and maintenance efficient, especially for large installations.
The Master Station's primary function is to enable communication between itself and individual S3C elevator phones, or all S3C phones simultaneously. It can also operate as a standard telephone, allowing calls to outside lines. A key feature is its ability to join an already established call initiated by an S3C elevator phone. In the absence of a telephone line, the Master Station can still function as an intercom system, communicating with connected S3C phones. This intercom capability is particularly useful during phone line outages, ensuring that communication within the elevator system remains possible even if emergency calls to outside lines cannot be made. The Master Station can remotely program any connected S3C phone, provided the unit numbers are already programmed into the S3C phones.
