c) Move or shim the drive unit, if necessary, until the permitted reading value is
obtained.
When the procedure is complete, both the angular and parallel alignment must meet the
permitted tolerances.
4.8 Additional alignment instructions
• When couplings other than the standard sleeve type are used, refer to the coupling
manufacturer’s alignment instructions.
• Alternate alignment methods, such as dial indicator or laser alignment can be used to
achieve the coupling alignment requirements.
