BASIC OPERATION
TO PLAY A SOURCE
3 Select the desired input source by using INPUT.
(Turn on the monitor TV for video sources.)
Front panel Remote control
or
The name of the selected input source will appear on the
display.
To play a tape or an MD
Press TAPE/MD MON / EXT. DECODER
on the front panel or TAPE/MD on the
remote control so that the “TAPE/MD
MON” indicator lights up on the display.
To use a decoder connected to the EXTERNAL
DECODER INPUT terminals
Press TAPE/MD MON / EXT. DECODER once or more on
the front panel or EXT. DEC. on the remote control so that
“EXT. DECDR” appears on the display.
When using the remote control
• Set the SELECTOR DIAL to the AMP/TUN position on the
remote control.
• To operate the tuner, the CD player, DVD/LD player, tape
deck, MD recorder, or other components with this remote
control, set the SELECTOR DIAL to the component to be
used. (See “SETUP CODES” on page 41.)
1 Set VOLUME to the “ ” position.
