Activation of alert device
The water separator-alert indicator of 6Y8
Multifunction Tachometer will blink.
The buzzer will sound intermittently only
when the gear shift is in neutral.
If the alert system has activated, stop the
engine and consult a Yamaha dealer im-
mediately.

If the engine develops a condition which is
cause for alert, the indicator lights up. For
details on how to read the alert indicator, see
page 44.
