6. SWITCH BOX
The switch box is implemented separately from the controller, and is generally mounted under the keybed. The
shape and function vary according to the model. A few Disklavier models do not include a switch box. The switch
box provides various switches and jacks: main power switch, silent volume, and so on (depending on the model).
MX100A/B
Mounted on the treble side under the keybed.
Provides MIDI IN and MIDI OUT jacks and a footswitch jack.
MX80
This model does not include a switch box.
DGP
This model does not include a switch box.
MarkII UP
Mounted on the treble side under the keybed.
Provides the main power switch, MIDI IN and MIDI OUT jacks, and a footswitch jack. [But starting from March
1994, the MIDI IN and MIDI OUT jacks were moved to the back of the piano body.]
MarkII GP
This model does not include a switch box.
MarkII XG UP/MX1Z
Mounted on the treble side under the keybed.
Provides the main power switch and a footswitch jack.
