Test-mode operations that are particularly important when carrying out maintenance are described below.
5-2 Checking the Version
The first menu item for each sheet indicates the sheet’s version number. (It is often essential to know
the version when diagnosing and servicing problems.)
5-3 Setting the Display Language
The controller can be set to display either English or Japanese. The setting is stored in the PK-CTL
sheet.
To change the setting: Enter Test mode, select CTRL SHEET, and then go to the first menu item. You
can then make the setting by pressing either [L] or [R].
5-4 Setting the Piano Type
If this piano type is incorrectly set, may play notes at the wrong octave or the piano tone generator may
fail to produce sound during playback. The piano-type setting is stored in the PK-CTL sheet.
To change the setting: Enter Test mode, select CTRL SHEET, and then go to the first menu item. Then
use the dial or the [–/NO] or [+/YES] button to set the piano type, and use the [RECORD] button to
select whether or not the instrument is a silent model (“S”).
