4-5 Keyboard Adjustment
Purpose
Carry out playback using minimum pressures (as determined by the data in the existing playback tables)
while listening to playback to confirm that sound and volume are correct and consistent. In the event of a
problem, adjust as necessary and change the table data.
Operation
MarkII, Mark III
Enter maintenance mode: Hold down [ ] and [ ] and switch on the power.
Press [R] twice.
Press [PLAY] to start: Keys 1 to 88 at minimum pressure (single note scale)
KEY: Key Number
PPP: Minimum playback-data value
VEL: Corresponding velocity (as measured by sensor)
OFFSET: Automatic temperature compensation
Check for: Evenness of tone (check by ear)
Displayed VEL value (Less than 040 : Good)
ONE-KEY CORRECTION
OFFSET:Check that this is 00.
Key No.: Select using [ ] or [ ].
PPP: Adjust using dial or [+/YES] [–/NO] (to 03 or above)
After setting, press [PLAY] to continue measurement.
Press [STOP] to write new data to memory.
ALL-KEY CORRECTION
Key No.: Select using [ ] or [ ].
PPP: Use [][] to adjust all 88 keys at the same time.
Playback-Only Models
Enter maintenance mode: Hold down [ ] and [ ] and switch on the power.
Press [R] twice.
