8. Start the engine for several minutes to
warm it up and check for the oil leakage.

EXHAUST SYSTEM INSPECTION
1. Remove:
D Side panels
Refer to “COVER AND PANEL” section.
2. Inspect:
D Nut

(exhaust pipe)
Loose/Damage Tighten/replace.
D Gasket (exhaust pipe)
Exhaust gas leaks Tighten/replace.
3. Inspect:
D Bolt

(muffler)
D Connecting bolt
3
(muffler)
Loose/Damage Tighten/replace.

AIR FILTER CLEANING
1. Remove:
D Side panels
D Air filter case cover
Refer to “COVER AND PANEL” section.
2. Remove:
D Air filter element

Never operate the engine without the air fil-
ter element installed. Unfiltered air will
cause rapid wear of engine parts and may
damage the engine. Operating the engine
without the filter element will also affect the
carburetor tuning, leading to poor engine
performance and possible overheating.
