What to do if YASKAWA DC Drives show braking transistor overload fault?
- NNoah RossAug 2, 2025
If you are experiencing a braking transistor overload fault with your YASKAWA DC Drives, it could be due to a high duty cycle of the braking transistor. Consider installing a braking unit (CDBR series). It's also possible that you enabled the protective function for the braking transistor when you have a regenerative converter. In this case, set L8-55 = 0 [Internal DB TransistorProtection = Disable]. If the braking transistor in the drive is broken, replace the drive.
