INSTALLATION
RECEIVING
When the absorption chiller-heater is
delivered, inspect it for transit damage. Report
any damage to the carrier and note on the bill of
lading. Do not proceed with the installation until
notifying the Yazaki Sales Representative or
Distributor and completing any required remedial
actions.
Remember to properly plan the route to the
installation site using the access clearances
shown here. Also, keep in mind when choosing
the site, the unit will someday have to be
replaced, so be mindful of permanent and semi-
permanent barriers.
Drawing Not To Scale
OVERHEAD RIGGING
The Yazaki chiller-heater is designed for
overhead rigging with four eye bolts installed in
the top panel at the factory as shown in the figure
at right. Care should be taken at all times during
rigging and handling to avoid damage to the
panels and external connections. DO NOT
DROP!
Remove the crate from the unit. Install the
level bolts screwing them in only until the threads
reach all the way through the frame bolt. The
leveling bolts can remain in place unless the
additional height causes trouble getting it to the
installation area.
CENTER OF GRAVITY
To properly rig the unit, the rigger must know
the Center of Gravity. The Center of Gravity of a
CH-K100 chiller-heater is almost dead center of
the machine, 47” up from the base.
The Corner Weight of a CH-K100 chiller-
heater is shown in the chart below:
