Introduction
Thisguid e willtakeyouthroughthehardwareinstallationandconfigurationofABBACSDrivesandPLCinorderto
prepare for Modbus RTU control. ABB‐specific ready‐made function blocks and visualizations from the PS553‐
DRIVES library willbe used for thecontrol ofthe drives. While theguide is applicable to all AC500 PL
Cs and all
ModbusRTUcompatibleABBACSdrives,theexampleisbuiltupwithanAC500‐eCoPLCandanACS355drive.
