CHAPTER 10 – PREVENTIVE AND CORRECTIVE MAINTENANCE 172
Replacing a phase module
1. Disconnect all power supplies to the drive and
ground the drive.
For further information, see 10.6.3 De-energiz-
ing the drive locally.
2. Remove the appropriate acrylic panel.l
Note: When working on the AFE, pull out the air
pressure tube at the bottom (see 1 in the figure
below).
3. Remove the screws on each side of the phase
module.
4. Slide the module rails under the phase module.
.
5. Holding the phase module at the handles, pull it
out carefully.
Hazardous voltages!
When a phase module is removed from the cabinet,
the grounding path between grounding switch and
PE ground busbar is interrupted.
For this reason, connect grounding equipment at
the appropriate locations. The grounding
equipment ensures that hazardous voltages
cannot be fed into the drive from the main power
supply or the motor.
To prevent the phase module from dropping on
you, make sure the rails are slid completely under
the phase module.
