6. Disconnect all cables from the Phase-INT-circuit
board (1) that are going into the cabinet:
- Auxiliary power supply cable (2)
- Two optical fibers (3)
The cables are partly concealed by the
grounding strap.
-Current transformer cable (4)
This cable is only present in phase
modules of the AFE.
7. Detach the cable chain on the side of the phase
module (1, 2). Pull down the end of the chain a
little (3), and then pull it into the direction of the
arrow (4) to disengage the chain from the
mounting bracket.

8. Lift the phase module off the rails.
Attention! Due to the weight, it is recom-
mended that two persons, one on each side, lift
the phase module off the rails.
Furthermore, make appropriate arrangements
for removing one of the upper phase modules.
9. Put the new phase module back into the cabi-
net.
10. When reconnecting the optical fibers, pay
attention to connect them to their correspond-
ing receptacles (arrows).
