About this chapter
This chapter describes the start-up operation of the solar pump inverter.
Start-up procedure
The start-up procedure to set up the solar pump inverter is similar to the ordinary ACS355
drive. See section Starting up the drive in ACS355 User’s manual
(3AUA0000066143 [English]).
 Selecting the Auto/Manual mode
• In auto mode, the inverter does not need any manual start/stop input.The inverter
starts automatically if current DC bus voltage is more than the start DC voltage set in
parameter 6003 START DC VOLT. To use the auto mode, set the parameter 6001
AUTO/MANUAL SEL to AUTO [0].
• In manual mode, the drive starts by external connections to either of the digital inputs
common DI1, DI2 or DI3 pins as shown in Default I/O connections. The inverter waits
for the activation of digital inputs defined in parameter 6002 MANUAL START CMD. To
use the manual mode, set the parameter 6001 AUTO/MANUAL SEL to MANUAL [1].
Note: Only one input can be selected at a time.
