The switch status of the Contact Output
(Terminals 41/42) can be selected as nor-
mally open (/_) or normally closed (_ _). For
the "General-Alarm" all detected Errors (0-
6, A, B, C, D, F) are signaled over the termi-
nals. If a low flow condition is to be signaled,
then "Min-Alarm" should be selected. Simi-
larly a high flow condition is signaled when
"Max-Alarm" is selected. If the signal is set
for "Max/Min-Alarm" then a signal is sent
over the terminals when the flowrate is
above or below the range between the
"Max-Alarm" value and the "Min-Alarm"
value, i.e., when the flowrate is larger than
the "Max-Alarm" value or less than the "Min-
Alarm" value.

1. Communication HART
Set the HART Communication ON or OFF.
When HART-Communication is not re-
quired, Current Output ranges 0–20, 0–10,
2–10 mA can be selected. For HART-Com-
munication the Current Output range must
always be 4-20 mA. No entries possible for
Standard instruments (no HART-Hardware).

For instruments using the HART-Protocol
an Address between 0-15 can be selected.
If the Address 0 is entered, then the Current
Output varies with flowrate in the range of
4-20 mA. If multiple instruments are con-
nected to the bus and an Address between
1 and 15 is assigned, then the converter
operates in the Multidrop-Mode. The Cur-
rent Output value is then constant at 4 mA.
The output values can then only be read
using the HART-Communication. Warning
11 is displayed.
