Quality of Service for Wireless Technology
Bluetooth
® Low Energy (LE) wireless technology enables communicaon between the EPG and the clinician
programmer or paent controller. The requirements for the quality of service (QoS) vary depending on the
use environment (operang room, recovery room, and home environment).
Aer the clinician programmer or paent controller is paired with a generator, the
Bluetooth
® wireless
technology symbol is visible on the clinician programmer or paent controller in the upper right corner of
the screen. When the
Bluetooth
wireless connecon is not acve, the symbol is grayed out.
The raw
Bluetooth
LE data rate is approximately 2.5 KB/sec and the eecve data rate is approximately 1.5 –
2 KB/sec. Other requirements include a semi-duplex transmission with a required acknowledge, a
