Quality of Service for Wireless Technology
Bluetooth
® Low Energy (LE) wireless technology enables communicaon between the EPG and the clinician
programmer or paent controller. The requirements for the quality of service (QoS) vary depending on the
use environment (operang room, recovery room, and home environment).
Aer the clinician programmer or paent controller is paired with a generator, the
Bluetooth
® wireless
technology symbol is visible on the clinician programmer or paent controller in the upper right corner of
the screen. When the
Bluetooth
wireless connecon is not acve, the symbol is grayed out.
The raw
Bluetooth
LE data rate is approximately 2.5 KB/sec and the eecve data rate is approximately 1.5 –
2 KB/sec. Other requirements include a semi-duplex transmission with a required acknowledge, a
