.Bleed Through/ Adjacent Patient
Rooms
The position of the antenna will vary if patient
rooms are adjacent to the zones. If a patient
room is behind the wall on one side of an
egress zone, position the antenna on the wall
on the other side of the zone, where there is no
patient room.
If there are patient rooms on both sides of
an egress zone, Y-shield paint and grounding
straps must be utilized. Use figure 2.3 and the
following order of installation:
Y-Shield order of installation:
1) Install GSX50 grounding straps
2) NSF34 Y-Shield paint on 10’x10’ area
3) Install GS3 grounding plate (do not paint
grounding plate)
4) Ground GS3 to earth ground
5) Plaster over straps, as needed
6) Paint or wallpaper
7) Install LC1400T
