See trick on the previous page to turn the
car ON without the Fob trapped in the
slot.

It’s normal for the ECU ID screen here to
read TYPE3 even though we are actually
selecting PROXIMITY TYPE5
DIAGNOSTIC MENU
PROGRAM REMOTE
ERASE REMOTE
> RESET ECU
RESET ECU will clear all programmed
Prox’s from memory
RESET Immobilizer
PLEASE INSURE THAT
THE DRIVER DOOR IS -
OPEN DURING THE
PROCEDURE
PRESS ENTER KEY
Even though the screen above says
immobilizer we are actually resetting the
Prox and RKE functions here.
Make sure the drivers door does not
close during the following steps or the
procedure will fail.

PRESS ENTER KEY
If the screen above comes up right away
without going thru the 16 min. reset time
this is a “glitch” in the software. Stay
connected and go back to the menu and
select RESET ECU again. The driver’s
door open warning screen should come
up and then the following screen should
be next.......
