12 AI-5620 User Guide
3. User Programming
In situations where a graphical user interface is not required, or very specific test
conditions are needed, using the .NET assembly for the AI-5620 may be a better
approach than using the TRsSim software. The .NET assembly allows access to a wide
range of objects abstracting the AI-5620 hardware capabilities. By using these objects,
the AI-5620 can be integrated into custom test systems or used for custom applications.
Methods are available for controlling the line interface, performing dialing tasks and line
flashes, generating tones, FSK, and noise, along with playing back waveforms.
Additional methods abstract the line monitoring capabilities of reporting various
measurements and detected telephony related events.
The .NET assembly is designed to be used from within Microsoft's Visual Studio
development environment. The environment provides a rich set of development and
debugging tools easing application development.
