Laser Safety
The Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer is classified as a "Laser Class 1" product
(IEC825-1, CFR1040.10). During normal operation of the Agilent 2100
Bioanalyzer no laser light is accessible to the user.
When the laser is in use, the laser light source emits light at a power that may
be harmful to the eyes. To prevent operator exposure to potentially harmful
laser light, an interlock mechanism turns off the laser whenever the lid of the
Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer is not closed. Furthermore, the lid can't be
completely opened and has a black light absorbing surface in order to prevent
any potential laser light reflection.
WARNING
Harmful laser light
The laser light source emits light at a power that may be harmful to the eyes.
Never look into the beam or direct it towards someone else.
System interlocks should never be disabled.
