To Install the CI Source
Procedure
The video shows wiring connections for the non-HES model MSD.
1 Vent the MSD. (See“To Vent the MSD” on page 109.)
2 Open the analyzer chamber. (See“To Open the Analyzer Chamber” on
page 149.)
3 Slide the CI source into the radiator. (See Figure 77.)
4 Install the thumbscrews. (See Figure 77.)
5 Connect the wiring to the CI source. (See“To Connect/Disconnect non-HES
Model Wiring from the CI Source” on page 218 or “To Connect/Disconnect
EI HES Model Wiring to the CI Source” on page 219.)
Electrostatic discharges to analyzer components are conducted to the side
board where they can damage sensitive components. Wear a grounded
antistatic wrist strap and take other antistatic precautions before you open the
analyzer chamber.
