Disabling the Output
The output of the power supply can be disabled or enabled from the front panel.
When the power supply is in the “Off” state, the OFF annunciator turns on and the
output is disabled. The
OFF annunciator turns off when the power supply returns to
the “On” state. When the output is disabled, the voltage value is 0 volts and the current
value is 0.02 amps.
The output state is stored in volatile memory; the output is always disabled when
power has been off or after a remote interface reset.
• Front-panel operation:
You can disable the output by pressing key. This key toggles between output
“Off” and “On” states.
• Remote interface operation:
OUTP {OFF|ON} Disable or enable the output
While the output is disabled, the range selection keys, the control knob, resolution
selection keys, and adjust selection key are still working. If the display is in the
meter mode, you cannot see the changes of output voltage and current settings on
the display when turning the knob. To see or check the changes when the outputs
are disabled, the display should be in the limit mode.
