NOTE
You can check that fume extraction is occurring by installing the GTA
viewing/fume extraction accessory, then running a sample that produces smoke
and checking that all of the smoke is extracted from each firing. Whole blood is a
suitable sample.
Installing the GTA Viewing/Fume Extraction Accessory
Installation of the GTA viewing/fume extraction accessory can be
divided into two parts: fitting the accessory to the instrument, and
connection of the accessory to the instrument flue.

Installing the GTA Viewing/Fume Extraction Accessory to the
Instrument
1 Set the support bracket to the required location for your
instrument type. To adjust the bracket, loosen the screws and
slide the bracket to the desired position. Refer to Figures 12 and
13.
