NOTE
The umbilical should be recessed behind the front panel of the instrument. (The
front panel has a cutout in it to accommodate this.)
7 Align the furnace. Refer to the SpectrAA Help for details on how
to do this.
8 Replace the instrument left panel.
NOTE
For instruction about how to install and adjust the Programmable Sample
Dispenser (PSD) refer to the PSD User’s Guide.
Zeeman GTA
The furnace will have been installed by an Agilent field service
engineer during installation of the instrument. However, if you have
removed the furnace to replace the electrodes or clean the sample
compartment, reinstall the furnace workhead as follows:
1 Ensure that both the spectrometer and GTA control unit are
switched off.
2 Remove the left panel on the instrument. To do this, lift the
bottom of the panel upward and then pull it forward (see
Figure 4).

3 Lift the furnace towards the sample compartment, ensuring the
umbilical cord is not twisted as you do so.
