Clean the surface of the dental unit with cleaning water periodically.
Touch and transfer surfacesTouch surfaces are areas that need to be exposed
during dental treatment and become potential cross contamination points.The
transfer surfaces are surfaces that are contaminated by exposure to equipment
and other inactive objects.
AJAX recommends segregated protection for all applicable touch surfaces and
transfer surfaces. The isolates used must be plastic isolation films approved by
the food and drug administration. After the treatment of each patient, the plastic
film should be removed and disposed.
