In this stack of two OmniSwitch 6250 switches, the slot 1 switch
is the primary management module. The slot 2 switch is the sec-
ondary.
The user reloads the stack’s secondary management module by
issuing the
reload secondary
command. Any data flow on the
secondary switch’s Ethernet is interrupted.
As the secondary switch reboots, the primary management mod-
ule continues to operate without interruption. Meanwhile the
stack has no interim secondary management module as the switch
reboots.
