Station Default configuration
5.1 Default configuration
5.1.1 8038 Premium DeskPhone, 8039 Premium DeskPhone and 8068 Premium
DeskPhone sets
Each  of  these  sets  has  2  programmable  keys  (F1/F2)  and  40  virtual  add-on  keys.  Their  default
functions depend on:
• The configuration of the set (Operator, Manager, Assistant, Normal or Attendant)
• The market in which the set is sold (US or non-US)
• The operating mode of the set (KeySystem or PABX mode)
The  default  functions  of  the  F1/F2  keys  are  summarized  in  the  table  below  (they  are  the  same  for
KeySystem and PABX modes).

The  default  functions  of  the  virtual  keys  are  summarized  in  the  figures  below  (separate  figures  are
provided for the US market). The virtual keys are selected using 8 physical buttons, 4 on each side of
the set's  display. There  are 5  pages of virtual  keys (the  pages can be  scrolled through  using the up/
down  buttons  of  the  set's  4-way  navigator),  with  8  virtual  keys  on  each  page.  Each  of  the  following
figures shows the first page of virtual keys and then indicates the progression to the last (fifth) page of
virtual keys.
