transmission’suidltersneedtobereplaced.Ithelpsextendlterchange
intervalstoreduceroutinemaintenancedowntimeandsavesyoumoneyin
thelongrun,allwhileprovidingmaximumprotectionforthetransmission.
TheFLIpressureswitchsignalstheTCMwhenuidexitingthemainlter
dropsbelowapredeterminedpressure.Boththemainandlubeltersmust
bechangedwhentheTRANSSERVICEindicatorintheselectordisplay
indicatesthatthemainltershouldbechanged.Thedifferentialpressurelimit
isveriedforaperiodoftimetobesurethereisnofalseindicationofthe
needtochangelters.
NOTE:The3700/4700/4800modelsdonothavetheFLIpressure
switchandvalvebody.FMisbasedontransmissiondutycycleand
othermeasuredtransmissionparameters,insteadofanFLIpressure
switch.

TheTRANSSERVICEindicatorashesonandofffor2minutesafterD
(Drive)isselected.OncetheFMmodehasbeenaccessedviatheshift
selector,the“OILFILTEROK”or“REPLACEFILTERS”messageisdisplayed
intheselectordisplaywindow.Anacceptablelterlifestatusisdisplayedas
“OILFILTEROK”.Anunacceptablelterlifestatusisdisplayedas“REPLACE
FILTERS”.
DTCP088A,TransmissionFilterMaintenanceAlert,setsalongwiththe
TRANSSERVICEindicatorilluminatingforlterrestriction,butthisDTCdoes
notilluminatetheCHECKTRANSlight.
DTCP088B,TransmissionFilterMaintenanceRequired,illuminatesthe
CHECKTRANSlightiflterserviceisnotperformedwithinacertainperiodof
timeoftheTRANSSERVICEindicatorilluminating.
